Question: Is there any amount of 'defensive driving' by making 'eye contact with the negotiation driver'?

I have noted that it is safer to negotiate intersection without traffic lights or round about when eye contacts are made with the other driver/ s. Is there any study or research done on this. On Asian roads vehicle drivers avoid eye contact because that maximises 'Q' jumping ability, and the change to blame 'WHEY U HITH MY KAARR'

Yes. In some cities they have places where all road signs and markings are removed - including the pedestrian pavements. By all accounts it works very well, as everybody has to negotiate with everyone else.
