Question: When someone says to you can i have a word in private do you always imagine the worst?

Yes. Most times when someone wants to talk in private, it is usually a secret or something serious.

It would really depend on who the person was and if you've done anything that may be offensive to them. And, you can sometimes tell if it's going to be bad or not by how they sound and look when they ask you "Can I have a word in private? " Their facial expressions and tone of their voice helps decide whether or not what they want to talk about is bad or not.

OMG yes i start to panic,my heart starts to race i get light headed and then i automatically go into defensive mode and have an expression on my face that says to him/ her be careful what you say because im going to stand my ground.
