Question: What is a good code to write in when i am writing in my private journal/diary?

Or should I just write in another language? Bad thing is, I only know English! Thanks By any chance is there some program that will allow me to type something up in English and then put it into some code?

The simplest is to shift each letter one place, so A becomes B, B becomes C.... Z becomes A. The advantage is that it's easy for you to read by mentally shifting the letters back again. The disadvantage is that it's very easy for someone to crack it. Another way is to invent your own alphabet. Create a symbol that corresponds to each letter. Once you have learned the symbols reading your code will be as easy as reading English. I would also have a symbol for the space character. That way your coded text will just look like a stream of characters and it will not be easy for anyone to recognise common word patterns in it.

Make your own code. Keep it hidden in a secret place. As for me, I have a rule: Never write anything down you wouldn't mind the whole world knowing.

Use numbers insted. Like: A = 1 B = 2 Z = 26
