Question: Is god's will: "i will have mercy, not sacrifice" stuck in probate, stonewalled by jews, muslims, and xians?

It seems jews, muslims, and xians will have sacrifice, not mercy; when the will of God flat out says he will have mercy, not sacrifice, and that God never desired sacrifice nor ever took pleasure in it, because sacrifice is "of the law " (which is "not of faith "), and sacrifice (blood shed) does not purge all things, rather only almost all things, leaves sacrifice folk a tad short of purged References: Psalms 40:6; Psalms 51:16; Hosea 6:6; Matthew 9:13; Matthew 12:7; Hebrews 9 & Hebrews 10 |

Absolutely. The entire basis of the Abrahamic faiths is the promotion of love and peace, not intolerance. The comment about "searching the Bible " for holes is exactly what I'm talking about. You will not find holes in the true religion, because that's what the true religion teaches. You WILL find holes in how it is usually presented today. |

It means that God prefers mercy to sacrifice. Sacrifices are useless without it. |

Just a note to those who are offended by Jews writing Xtians -- it's not about manners; it's because the word Christ has meaning to us that predate your religion, and to ascribe it to Jesus would be blasphemous to us, which we refuse to do. It would be kind of like if we Jews started calling our religion "The real Christians " (because we do believe in a Christ, just not Jesus), you would have a really hard time calling us that. Could you see yourself saying "The Real Christians believe that the messiah has not yet come... " No. You would have to refer to them as something else. I can see how Xtians might be offensive to you, but we cannot blaspheme. |
